The Reverend Dr. Denton McLellan
Denton is a Parish Associate.
We welcomed Denton back to Idlewild in 2005, after a long and successful pastorate of 28 years at Germantown Presbyterian. He had previously served as Idlewild's Assistant Pastor from 1969-1973.
He teaches both the Covenanters Class and the Men's Friday Morning Bible Study. He also helps lead us in worship and provides gracious pastoral care.
Denton enjoys "reading, get-togethers with friends, frustrating rounds of golf and spending time at our place in Black Mountain, North Carolina." He also enjoys his new family, from brothers and sisters-in-law to grandchildren, that he acquired when he married Mary Allie Baldwin.
