Pastor Steve’s sermon this week continues the Questions from the Floor II series with “What Does It Mean to be Stewards of the Mysteries of God?” Read/listen to sermon archives. Teacher dedication will take place during the 11:00 worship service this Sunday. We are grateful for all our church school teachers in children, youth and adult ministries. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Idlewild Church parking lot. One-mile family fun walk, games for children, live music after the race. Pre-registration: $17, $20 on race day. This concert will feature an interfaith, community-wide gathering of youth, choirs and musicians, as well as civic and human rights activists including Idlewild Pastor Steve Montgomery, Dr. Frank Thomas, Rabbi Micah Greenstein, the Rev. Marilynn S. Robinson, and Father John Pitzer. Community picnic is at 6:00 p.m., the concert begins at 7:00 on Thursday, Sept. 16 at Levitt Shell (Overton Park).
