Adopt-A-School
Our church's Adopt-A-School program at Idlewild Elementary School, a neighborhood public school, serves about 100 elementary students who have been identified by teachers as needing extra help in
reading, science, math, social studies or writing. Each week during the school year, our dedicated tutors spend an hour or two at the school working with one student. We also have a Community Readers program, with great volunteers reading books to kindergarten classes. READERS Schedules
Readers will come to the school on Fridays at 8:50 a.m., check in and go to the library to select a book. (You are welcome to bring a book of your own.) After selecting a book, please go to your assigned classroom. The teachers will be expecting you at 9:00 a.m.

Hello Idlewild Tutors:
Some important dates that you might want to put on your 2012 calendars regarding tutoring and the Memphis City Schools calendar.
April 6 - Good Friday - NO SCHOOL
April 24 - 27 - TCAPS - No tutoring but Prctors are needed.
May 18 - Last Day of School (Tutoring will probably go until the week prior.)
